Blending a wholesome smoothie is so quick and easy, that it is odd to see plastic containers filled with them in the cooler section at the grocer. Convenience has been ‘bottle-fed’ to us in such a way that nowadays when we are out buying something that comes in a recyclable container it seems to make it OK to buy. It really isn’t OK. There is a lot of resources that go into recycling products. Better to not buy so much even if it can be recycled. We need to reclaim the convenience of our own kitchen, for our health and for the health of our planet.
